Oriental Bank and Trust is participating in the FDIC’s Transaction Account guarantee Program (TAGP). Under the program and the new rule of Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act signed by President Barack Obama on July 21, it was extended for 2 years after December 31, 2010, all non-interest bearing transactions accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to the separate from coverage available udder the FDIC’s general deposit insurance rules.
